About Missoula


 

 The Missoula Children's Theatre is a non-profit organization based in Missoula, Montana. This coming year more than 65,000 cast members across the globe will take to the stage to the delight and applause of their families, friends, community, neighbors and teachers!  The residency at APOLLO ELEMENTARY is made possible by the APOLLO PTA with help from some local community sponsors.

Way to Experience Missoula's Children Theatre Residency


 

STUDENTS

  • Audition - open to all KG to 5th grade students. Click: https://bit.ly/2o4p9zJ to signup. 
  • Workshop - open to all Kindergarten to 5th graders (audition spillover and lottery). Workshop will be held before school starts. Click: https://bit.ly/2oV62bb to signup. 
  • Enjoy the Show - Watch your classmates and friends perform different characters during the afternoon showing on Friday, October 25. 

PARENTS

  • Volunteer - be a part of the community or volunteer in select tasks before and/or during residency. 

 


Auditions


Auditions will be open to KG to 5th grader students.

Monday, October 21, 2019, 4-6 pm, Apollo MPR

Approximately 50-60 students will be cast to appear in the show with the MCT Tour Actor/Director.There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play. Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled starting time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins approximately 15-minutes after the audition.

This is a group audition–no advance preparation is necessary, but a smile never hurts. Students should just be ready to come and have a good time!

Permission Slips are needed to Audition.

Rehearsals


Rehearsals will be conducted everyday at the MPR. Below is the schedule:

Monday: 6:15-8:15 pm

Tuesday: 4:00-6:00 / 6:15-8:15 pm

Wednesday: 1:45-3:45 / 4:00-6:00 pm

Thursday: 4:00-6:00 / 6:15-8:15 pm

Friday: 9:15-11:30 am

Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role and be available for all scheduled performances. A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4 hours and 15 minutes will be asked to bring a sack lunch, dinner or snack to be eaten during the 15-minute break between sessions.


Workshop


There will also be THREE FREE ENRICHMENT WORKSHOPS to be offered during the week: TUESDAY TO THURSDAY, 8:15-9:00 am. This is open to all grade levels but limited to 60 participants per session. You are responsible to transport your student to school if they are attending.
